Porto Day 2, Saturday 14.3

// So, Saturday 14 of March

Now there is more pictures than words, because unfortunately days are flying so fast and I find it hard to find time to write these my lovely novels you have seen here. And of course because now the weather has changed better, so I try spend as much time as I can outside :D B

But what we did, we ate some traditional food in the restaurant, I think they called it Francesinha and huhh, it was, quite heavy stuff to eat :D There is at least bread (cause it's a "sandwich"), wet-cured ham, some Portuguese sausage, steak or roast meat. And all of this is covered with melted cheese and there are french fries around it. And it was biiig. After that we, literally, rolled a little tour in the city with lovely ESN tour guide who is from Porto, and in the end we took the tourist boat trip in Douro river. 

Oh and yeah, in this post there is not only my pictures here. One of my new friend Tonka borrowed my camera on Saturday (I was too tired and too lazy to take any more pictures and he needed someones camera to borrow) and they were so nice i definitely would like to show them too :D

Heippa taas! :) Taas on tämä postailu vähän venynyt kun koitan näyttää niin hirveän kiireiseltä ja vähäsen vaan laiskalta kaikkien kouluhommailujen ja muiden lomassa :D Ei mutta todellisuudessa nää päivän häviää jonnekin ihan hirveetä vauhtia taas ja humps. Olisi niin paljon kerrottavaa ja kirjoitettavaa, mutta keskityn nyt tärkeimpään, ettei teillä mene koko päivää näiden lukemiseen :D Eli tänään on taas enemmän kuvia, vähemmän puhetta -päivä. 

Kokonaisuudessaan päivä kului kaupungissa pyöriessä mukavan oppaan kanssa, syömäsä perinteistä Portolaista Francesinha-päivällistä. Se oli muuten aika tuhtia tavaraa, huhhuh että teki tiukkaa kun ei muutenkaan ollut mikään tulenpalava nälkä siinä vaiheessa :D Francesinha, tai tuttavallisemmin Little Frencie, on portugalilainen voileipä, joka sisältää mm. kinkkua, portugalilaista makkaraa, pihviä.. Ja kaikki tämä on valeltu ympäriinsä sulalla juustopeitteellä ja siinä on ranskiksia ympärillä. Lopuksi päivän ohjelma päättyi pienellä venetripillä ympäri Duro-joen. Veneen istuimista löytyi kuulokevalitsin, josta sai valita selostuksen monista eri kielistä, mm myös suomen.

Osa kuvista ei ole muuten minun ottamiani, yksi muikeista uusista ystävistäni Tonka (mainittu kuvateksteissä) lainasi lauantai-illalla kameraani kun mä vähän väsähdin kuvaamiseen, joten näätte myös toista, vähän erilaista kuvakulmaa kaupungin kauneudesta. Ja todella upeita kuvia ottikin! :D Joskus sitä vaan huomaa, että vähän jämähtää tiettyyn uomaan kuvaamisessa, niin nyt saa kivaa vaihtelua :)

//  There it is. The door of That Book store. Aggggh...

 It was closed on Sundays and of course We tried go there on Sunday which was our free day ughh it hurt so bad that I couldn't go there to see it..  :D (We have that opportunity to go there during the guide touring but it was too short time, about 10-15 min to 50 people, so i skipped it and was thinking to go next day hahaha, bad decicion)

Next time, my friend, next time then. And then I'll tell you more about this wonderful bookstore. :D   //

Porto Day No1 : Aveiro & Porto Cálem 13.3

//  So, Porto Day number 1,

We were spending the weekend 13-15.3 in Porto with ESN team. I think there were about 100 students all together doing the trip, with 2 buses. The trip payment 70e included transportation with bus there and back to Lisbon, visit to Aveiro city, hostel in 2 nights (+ breakfasts), visit & wine tasting tour, boat tour in Douro river, 2 party entrances, 2 dinners, and insurance. Quite good package in my opinion to see a new city in three days and in the same time have a very good opportunity to meet new Erasmus students there. :) Of course in these kind of organized trips there is always good things and bad things but for me it was a very good way to meet Porto and its beauty :D 

We started the trip by going to see Aveiro. 

A city which Portuguese people call the "Venice of Portugal"  

I don't have so much pictures about Aveiro, but there's something little I shooted. We tasted local, popular sweet called Ovos Moles, made from egg yolk. Oh my lord and gosh it was sweet, so we were really happy we bought only one for each haha :D One was definitely enough for me and it costs only 60-70 cents I think.  //

//  So... Why Venice? Well I haven't ever been in the real Venice, but I think the nickname is because the colourful canal boats floating in the river. Boats with their dirty words on their side. ( Don't ask :DD ). Nowadays they are more for tourists I think.  // 

Noniin, elikkä Porto-päivä nro 1:

Lähdettiin tosiaan kolmen päivän pituiselle viikonloppureissula Portoon ja siinä välietapilla mennessä myös piipahdimme Aveirossa, tuossa "Portugalin Venetsiassa", nimike johtunee joessa uiskentelevista suipoin muotoisista värikkäistä veneistä, joissa on jotain härskejä, kainoja ja kaksimielisiä tekstejä (Elkää kysykö miksi :DD). Maistettiin myöskin paikallista makeaa herkkua nimeltä Ovos Moles. Aghh oli Aikas makeaa, se on tehty munan keltuaisesta, ja todella erikoinen kyllä :D Kyllä sen hyvin söi, keskivaiheilla alko vähän jo tökkimään kun se makeus iski haha. Mut oli hyvää ja kerta riitti, kappalehinta taisi ollakin leipomossa jotain 60-70 sentin luokkaa niin kyllä kannattaa kokeilla, jos Aveirossa päin pyöritte :)

Myös Aveiro-portaat alemmissa kuvissa olivat mun mieleen, mutta sitten itse asiaan, eli Porton kamaralle.

Porto & Porto Cálem, wine tasting

// Then we went to see Porto Cálem wine cellars. 

Beautiful place even if my knowledge about wines is reaallyy baad. And also this little miss Mia 25 years old has started to drink some nice tasty white wines only last summer, thanks for wonderful teacher Sara. Of course, I would know more about port wines IF I had listened that lovely lady who told us so many things during the visiting, but krhm.. This time I was more focusing on shooting photos and wandering, unfortunately :DD I think only thing i heard and I remember, was that the biggest thing were you can put the wine can carry something 40 000 liters wine, amazing! (Writer reserves the right of being wrong also in this case) At least it was something much more than I had ever imagined, haha :D But at least I hope you find some joy about my pictures, beautiful place. ^^

Actually, I was so fascinated about wondering and staring that crazy fancy light coming inside the roof windows that I lost my group before we went to wine tasting. I thought I found them in one room we started, I regognized some familiar faces there, yes! And I thought that "Oh that nice lady has changed, maybe this other is more specialised to tell more about wine tasting things". And even then I didn't get it when the nice girl I just met the first time in Aveiro and she asked me "Umm.. where is rest of your bus?". I just watched her like crazy and answered: "well.. Umm. here!". No, they weren't. xD 

Soo... After couple of minutes I realized I was following the wrong group, the bus number 2, not number 1 where I was. Ohhh deaar I was laughing so haard when I saw they were just getting started the wine cellar visit ahahah! So, I did the tour twice (laughing so hard that my stomach hurted) and zero wine tasting :D It was totally okay ahahha. So, after tasting I met my group again and then we contiuned our way to outside.  //

Ensimmäiseksi Portoon saavuttuamme pääsimme kierrokselle tutustumaan Porto Cálemin viineihin ja viinintekoon. Itseltä meni vähän oikeastaan kaikki info ohi, ryhmä oli sen verran iso, ettei kuuluvuus kantanut ja muutenkin olin vähän muissa maailmoissani tuijotellessa isoja viinitankkeja /-tynnyreitä ja kattoikkunoista tulevia valojuovia ja kattoparruja. :D Tiedäntiedän.. 

Joten ikävä kyllä en osaa kertoa mitään muita yksityiskohtia kuin sen, että se suurin saavi taisi kattaa sisäänsä jopa 40 000 litraa viiniä. Ehkä. Jotain paljon se oli. :DDD Anyway, toivottavasti kuvat puhuvat puolestaan! 

Itseasiassa olin niin tohkeissani kaikesta -ja ehkä vähän omissa maailmoissanikin, mutta kävi sitten lopulta niin, että hukkasin oman ryhmäni juuri ennen kuin viininmaistajaiset olivat alkamassa. Viimeisenä tullessani ja vielä pari kuvaa ottaneena hiihdin kohti suuntaa, minne olin nähnyt muiden menevän. Sitten bongasinkin tuttuja naamoja, ja hypähdin taas mukaan, tsekkailin vähän ottamiani kuvia ja jätin taas kaksi kolmasosaa kuuntelematta. Missään kohdassa ei herännyt päässä mitään epäluuloja, että olenko oikeassa paikassa. Ei edes sillon, kun mukava, Aveirossa ekaa kertaa tapaamani saksalaistyttö bussista numero 2 kysäisi, että missä on mun muut bussilaiset. Katsoin hölmösti takaisin ja töksäytin, että "tässähän ne". Eikä se, että se mukava kierrosnainen oli eri kuin alussa, aattelin että ehkä viininmaistajaisiin tarvitaan joku oikein asiantuntija niistä kertomaan. 

Noup, siinä vaiheessa se sitten välähti kun bussi numero kaksi lähti liikkeelle, ja nel ähti kiertämään samaa kierrosta, minkä me, ykkösbussi, oltiin jo kertaalleen kierretty ja kuulin samat 40 000 litraa uudestaan :D (Millanen keskittymishäiriö mulla oikeen on ku käyn saman kierroksen kahdesti ja siltikään en muista mitään muuta). Ja voi että kun tajusin että en olekaan oikeassa ryhmässä, ja joudun kiertämään kaiken uudestaan, hihittelein koko kierroksen ihan hysteerisenä, miten voinkin onnistua :DD 

Kierroksen päätyttyä liityin taas omaan ryhmääni, valitettavasti he olivat ehtineet jo käydä maistelemassa paria viiniä, mutta ei se oikeastaan minua haitannut. Minä mistään viineistä muutenkaan tiedä niin hirveästi. Mutta oli kyllä hulvatonta :DD Sitten lähdettiin ulkoilmaan, ja kohti hostellia!

Porto wines

Hello Porto!

Porto näyttää aika ihanalta ja joki tuo omat kotimaisemat mieleen, vaikka kaikki muukin onkin tosi erinäköistä ympärillä. Tämän reissupäivän päätteksi kirjauduimme Tattva-hostelliimme (mikä oli aivan ihana hostelli, suosittelen lämpimästi!), saimme noin tunnin aikaa valmistautua illalliselle ja purkaa laukkuja. Sitten suuntaismme yhdessä syömään suureen buffet-tyyliseen ravintolaan, syömään hyvää ruokaa ja nauttimaan seurasta ja uttustumaan uusiin ihmisiin, sekä vanhoihin lisää. Ja tottakai iltaa jatkettiin tanssilattialla. :)

Tällainen oli meidän eka päivämme, lisää tulossa!

//  That was the first day actually! :) Then we checked the hostel Tattva (which was REALLY nice btw!) and got one hour time to unpack our stuff and get ready. In the evening we got a really nice dinner together with good food and all-you-can-drink. And parties of course :)   //
